Job responsibilities:
Generalist is a customer-facing individual who provides technical expertise covering a selected range of Clients solutions to support qualified sales opportunities.
Working under supervision, this person analyzes and offers advice on the best software
application approaches to address customer needs.
He/She has a working knowledge of the challenges Clients customers and prospects are facing and is able to articulate Clients PDS message to user and mid level management audiences.
This person is expected to perform the required activities to support a sales engagement from the initial meeting or demonstration through to technical closure.
The Generalist contributes to the growth of Clients revenue stream in the assigned opportunities through supporting and identifying new initiatives related to software, services, education and maintenance sales.
Job includes short travels across country to customer locations for Pre-sales activities.
Preferred Experience: Manufacturing Industry, Pre-sales or Project experience with Product sales or an Engineering services company.
Good understanding of Manufacturing organizations Product development processes
and challenges faced. Understanding of Best practices and methodologies for the same.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on exposure to CAD products .
Good understanding or Practical experience with Tooling and Manufacturing processes and challenges faced by these functions and industries.
Intermediate understanding of PDM/PLM systems and any hands-on usage
Customer relationship management
Understanding of the applications of Reliability Engineering methods in product
Good communication skills & Objection Handling skills– ability to articulate the message with clarity to medium or large audience.
Should take own initiatives for his responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Mechanical domains
