Many women ,qualified as M.ian railwaysA,MCA;and also pregnant appearing for the job of coolie in Indian raiways,due to recession and for need,whether it is ok or shameful.
One should never be ashamed of the kind of Job one has. Job is a job and no job is bad as far as you have accepted it with all its pros and cons. There are ladies who work as labors at the construction sites at times even break stones at the road side and many of them are even pregnant. Ladies know how to take care of themselves and they would value the child they are bearing more than anyone else in all situations and unless a doctor or gynec has advised otherwise there is nothing wrong and no harm.
I would respect any job.
Where & Why is the question of feeling ashamed ? when you have an opportunity to be an cooli,it cannot be other than situational and if the experience is good,it makes you to take up the job seriously,there is no need to take permission from any one to any job, after all every job is taken up to earn basic living needs.But every where sincerity and commitment are the foundation stones.
Yes.... Anyone can become a coolie except the one that can't carry heavy baggages.
When there can be women Prime minister, President, CEO, Manager, Clerk Conductor then why not women coolie's??? I just see how the worlds is adapting and changing. By working as coolies women are just proving the fact that how versatile women are and that they are in no way they are not behind men….
No harm to do that.All work is equally important.
Work is worship! However the work one does must commensurate with the abilities and qualifications. In this case post graduates are applying, are they overqualified for their job or is there a lacuna in the qualification itself. Leave the gender aside, in today's day and time gender does not stop any body from working in any sphere with the exception of professions such as mining. Due to the slump in the market, one has to find ways and means to earn. Coolie work is laborious and arduous. Women have to exercise caution while taking up such work, not that they are weak or can't do it, its always better to be safe than sorry.
if the situation demands and for the lively hood of their own if they did it no wrong. . . . and one should know the dignity of labor.. .
yes i do agree with alka thakur's view. this kind of work we do not do for fun , the circumstances bound us to do this kind of work. when we have no other alternate options to live we do it so it is also applicable to a woman

A job should be commensurate with the education level of the person.
There is no shame in women braking stone on the roadside. They are doing work.
But MA's and MCA's applying for the job a coolie is shameful.
Something seriously needs to be done in our education system.
Because of their poverty, they use to do these type of jobs, and because of their illetracy.
They are running their day to day life from this earnings only
